Schooling or Googling

Schooling or Googling

How many of you have cursed the schooling system as a child, and how many of you curse it still? I was definitely one who cribbed and cribbed through school, always wondering who discovered the examination system, and who first found a schooling system. I just enjoyed the company of my friends in school and that is all that I remember .This everyone will agree that we made good friendship at school.

School, way back was a boring place, imagine the same set up in an era of Google, where information is just a click away. Most of us didn’t like the system yet we cling to the same and help create processed individuals instead of the original copy righted versions that God had made , or the nature bestowed. It used to be such a pain listening to the boring lectures of teachers even when we did not have an access to multimedia or the YouTube channels. Imagine the plight of the generation who are smarter that us, bringerter than us and more evolved than us.

Everyday we see and hear of successful people who didn’t do so well in school, I even had an opportunity to meet one successful man who shared the same that he wasn’t good at studies but now is an inspiration for many and a mentor for a lot of people and a man behind the formation of a company. Knowing all this we still expect children to out perform in school. I have no complaints if being a nerd is the original flavour of the child. But I just can’t imagine how every child born on earth can become a nerd and make the parents happy. Forget making the parents happy…just imagine how all kids can follow one system that is manmade using a few brains for their own advantage or for common good ,is still debatable .

Evolution saw different ages from stone age to this information age. But did the education system evolve with the progress we have made in the last decade? That’s for all of us to ponder. What if we can invest our time on the children instead of money? When you can save so much money instead of just spending it on the education( because everyone does). You don’t have to invest so much time, making money ( coz it’s an open truth that the education system is super expensive),instead it can be invested on the kids provided you know to Google.

I dream of a world where the little ones, who no longer take a long time to become a butterfly, can fly freely creating a wonderland of this world. I so wish, the investment done on children is not of money, invested in education but investment of time, love and learning. I wish we don’t crush their tiny wings with the load of current trend of education and also don’t crush their wings by crunching their time. With the whole lot of pressure, the wings refuse to take flight, they are weighed down to be neither a caterpillar nor a butterfly but a confused lot.

My limitless dream of a revolutionary learning system will sure come true, as with all my dreams. I am not sure if it is a coincidence or a sign, for I had this pretty little yellow winged creature, finding it’s way to my living room as I reach home, after talking about this special dream of mine over coffee. These wings sure show me that my dream will soon develop its wings to give wings to the limitless potential of humanity.
