Have You Ever Experienced The Peak Of Pain?

Have You Ever Experienced The Peak Of Pain?

The midwife in my prenatal class, explains the process of birth. She says hold on, keep breathing, keep exhaling, and only push when the contraction peaks, which practically means the peak of pain. Pain as we perceive in labour does not increase steadily. It comes in waves. It starts, then build-ups, peaks and then goes down. With time the duration between two contractions keeps decreasing, which makes it too much to bear. And in the peak of pain, a life is born.

I remember in my labour room, two supportive midwives encouraging me constantly, telling me positive affirmations that I am a strong woman, I am the only person in the whole world who can give life to my baby. That made me endure the pain with grace and grit.

I still keep reminding myself the affirmations my midwives told me. I just experienced two labour pains. That does not mean I haven’t experienced pain to that degree thereafter. I am sure most of you too would have experienced greater mental pain than the physical pain. What do you think is the peak of emotional pain?

I would say the worst kind of pain is that tipping point where you decide to keep going with all the pain. That point where the whole of you wants to accept defeat and give in to the pain but there is one voice asking you to step aside and keep it going. That is the peak of pain and a lot of us want to avoid it and get trapped in the pain, sometimes forever. At first, we get accustomed to living with it, then we get addicted to it. At a point, pain becomes being. Giving up is much easy than holding on with courage. As you hold on, you tip into a new life, a new zone, it feels like that rainbow after the rain, calmness after the storm, the light at the end of the tunnel. Pain when endured with courage gives a long-lasting pleasure in life.

When you are the moon that’s shining bright in the night sky. The clouds can just cover you for a while. Behind the clouds, you are still the moon shining bright. Trust the process of life and just hang in there, hold on. No pain can rip you off your shine. You are worth more than that. You are strong and you are the only one in the whole wide world that can bring life to your life. Endure pain with grace and grit. Push a little harder and bang on you sure will create your life, the way you want it t be. It’s all on your hands. That’s what makes you the creator.

Come on shed that stress and create the wonderful life you always wanted to have. In case you need a helping hand, don’t think twice to get in touch with me.
