What I learned in 2019

What I learned in 2019

1. Fairytales Do Exist In Reality:

The Fireflies and the butterflies that I saw in thousands in my very few trips into the jungle showed me a preview of the fairyland that exists on the Earth. It was my “Alice in Wonderland” moment. It has enhanced my awe to the world around. I also realized we are as magical as these little creatures. This can be realized only when we are truly ready to embrace our self.

2. Instincts are powerful than intelligence.

I quit my corporate career just trusting my instinct with not knowing what was waiting in the future. I just had a gut feeling that I will do well when I come out of it and will be able to help people. My instinct materialized in the form of a dream and chased me out of the four walls of the corporate to a Life Coach enjoying every minute of life and helping people find harmony as well.

3. Breaking Patterns builds.

Dropping the old routines and getting to a new way of life by sprinkling buzz moments all through my day added that extra dose of energy that I used to build myself holistically. I became more real and non-judgmental.

4. I Can Laugh More.

With emotional traumas to handle to evolving stronger and softer, I realized the power of a good laugh. As I was doing an assignment in one of the many courses I did in 2019. I had to find the person who made me laugh a lot in a day. I had to leave the section blank because I didn’t have an answer. Then I created a habit of finding reasons to laugh and also attracted a few friends who always took life light and so I realized I can now laugh more.

5. Never too old to make friends.

Breaking patterns and following my passion aligned me with people of a similar mindset. The same kind of crazy, weird and adventurous ones. For the first time in my life, I did connect with people of higher-order thinking beyond the realms of geography or gender. They did make me realize my dreams are not very far away for a few of them that were reality. This gave strength to dream even bigger.

6. Happiness is not expensive.

Connecting with nature and people gave me a strong sense that happiness is not expensive. Most of the things that delighted me were free and many of them that money cannot buy. It made me humble, to live in the moment and to live simple. I found being amidst nature in a tent more satisfying than a five-star comfort. The fresh air, the silence and the laughter are intoxicating.

7. Life happens in calmness.

Worrying or overstressing things will never help but spoil the mind and body. When the intentions are clear and strong, and you work your way in calmness things happen. My trust and love for meditation improved as I started realizing this in 2019.

Mindful living is what I am embracing now into 2020 and will forever, for I have also realized that the true essence of life is what you are inside rather than outside.
